Ballet Inspired – Soft Tulle & Blush Pink Wedding Gown

Hello everyone!

We have been SO busy in the studio these last few weeks labouring over gorgeous dresses getting them ready to send off in their brides arms for magical Winter weddings.

I have spent hundreds of hours holding a needle and thimble recently and very little time at the computer keyboard so this post is a little shorter than my usual entries..

Above is another GORGEOUS image from our latest shoot taken by the extremely talented Robin Foster of Foster Photography.

Hair and Makeup was by Deb from Canary Hair and Beauty.

The gown was made in a beautiful blush pink silk dupion which was overlaid with a soft peach tulle. I love this shot because it features the large cut-out section of the gown from a more avant-garde angle (this gown is all one piece as you can see on my HOME page).

It was very technically difficult creating this design as I didn’t want to add any pieces around the waist to give it support. I designed several different options for how to create this style which I may explore in the future. I like my gowns all to have a sculptural element about them and to look beautiful from every angle they are viewed at including the side. – So I was very happy that Robin Foster was able to capture this shot.
